Can I hand an event over to someone else?

For a community event, you can hand the host role to someone else once they approve the request.
Details
- Only events created as community events can be handed over. An event that does not belong to a community cannot.
- The person taking over must be a member of that event's community and a friend of yours.
- An event with paid ticket history cannot be handed over. If tickets are still on sale, stop sales first.
- The request goes to them to approve or reject, and expires after 7 days.
- Once approved you become an editor and can no longer see or receive the revenue. Reversing it requires the new host to act.
- An event has exactly one host.
Hand over the host role
- Open the staff list from event management.
- Choose “Hand over the host role” and pick the member or friend taking over.
- Read the warning and send the request.
- The change completes when they approve it.
