Can I change a community's visibility?
Answer
Yes. The owner or an operator can set discoverability to Public or Unlisted.
Details
- A Public community appears in the community directory and in search, and anyone can find and join it.
- An Unlisted community is left out of the directory and search.
- Unlisted does not mean secret. Someone who knows the URL can still open the public page and join.
- This changes discoverability only. It does not change existing members, operators, event visibility or event participation rules.
Changing community visibility
- Open community editing.
- Open the visibility setting.
- Choose Public or Unlisted.
- Save.
